This School Psychologist position is for the 2024-2025 school year. This role is 7.5 hours/day.

The beginning salary for a BA level with zero years of experience is $61,080.
The beginning salary for an MA level with zero years of experience is $78,726.
NOTE: All 2023-2024 teacher base contracts are 183 days and have the option to work 2 supplemental days. Supplemental days are paid at the educator's daily rate based on their placement on the certificated salary schedule.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION The School Psychologist position requirements consist of completing assessments, MultiDisciplinary Team (MDT) activities, Individual Educational Plans (IEPs) for students and other duties.
Reports to and evaluated by: Director of Assessment & Special Education or Designee
RESPONSIBILITIES • Conduct individual psychological assessments of students to determine cognitive, academic, social, emotional and behavioral levels of functioning by observation, standardized tests, interviews, and reports. • Present data and recommendations in a multi-disciplinary team process to help determine program and placement. • Identify special needs children, verify qualifying criteria and make appropriate school placement according to multi-disciplinary team polices and procedures that are mandated by the Washington Administrative Code and Public Law 94-142. • Assist or design individual and/or group academic/behavior management and treatment, IEP goals and interventions as a member of the team. • Consult with parents, foster parents or social workers of special needs children; communicate assessment results to same. • Consult with staff and/or provide direct individual and/or group counseling as determined by IEP goals and objectives. • Submit written reports and MDT summary analysis with signatures in a timely fashion.
REQUIREMENTS • Possess Education Staff Associate Certificate as a School Psychologist. • Possess experience in assessment and report writing as a School Psychologist. • Possess knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and practices as pertains to special needs students. • Demonstrate leadership training and/or experience. • Possess highly developed interpersonal relationship skills.
